Hoipolloi is grateful to receive financial support from Arts Council England (ACE). We are currently one of ACE’s regularly funded organisations and from April 2012, will join their new national portfolio of funded organisations.

In 2011/12, our core grant is £113,364.

We also receive support from the National Lottery, again via Arts Council England. This funding has enabled us to create an exciting mix of projects including two of Hugh Hughes’ trips to the Edinburgh Fringe and his current Stories from an Invisible Town project.

The British Council have played a key role in the development of our international touring network. We’ve been part of their international showcase at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe on several occasions and they have also provided financial assistance for tours to Australia, Canada, Colombia, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore and the USA.

At the British Council’s international showcase in 2011, Simon Bedford presented a case study on Hoipolloi’s digital activities with Hugh Hughes.

As a charity we also seek revenue, project and in kind support from a number of different sources including trusts/foundations, individuals and company donations to ensure our continuing development.

If you are interested in contributing to Hoipolloi’s continued success, we‘d be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Simon Bedford, our Executive Producer on +44 (0) 1223 322748.

If you’d like to read more detail about our funding arrangements as well as our other income and our expenditure, please visit Hoipolloi’s entry on the Charity Commission’s website where you’ll find an overview of our financial history and can download our annual accounts.
