Our Booking Terms and Conditions

Your use of this website is subject to the following conditions and you should not use this website unless you accept these conditions:
1. The information contained in this website has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing information about performances and making online bookings for these performances.
2. By accessing this site you will be assuming all risks associated with the use of this site, including risk of your computer, software or data being damaged by any virus which might be transmitted or activated via the Hoipolloi Box Office site or your access to it.
3. You will only use this website for personal private use.

Conditions of Sale
Tickets cannot be refunded. Once purchased, your ticket is your responsibility. In some circumstances, subject to availability, we may be able to offer an exchange, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please email admin@hoipolloi.org.uk with any enquiries.

Data Protection
Under the Data Protection Act and the Privacy Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. Personal data you give will be used exclusively for providing you with the information or service that you have requested. Once you have booked tickets with the Hoipolloi Box Office your details will be held on our database. From time to time we may send you information about our productions. If you do not wish to receive this information, please tell us by sending an email to admin@hoipolloi.org.uk. We do not pass any of your personal data to outside organisations and/or individuals.

Privacy Notice

  1. What information do we gather?

As a visitor to this site you may be asked to provide us with personal information such as your name, address, telephone number and email address when you fill out a form.

This information is collected for internal administrative purposes only and will not be passed to any other organisations. Some of the information we collect through forms is marked as mandatory and other information is provided voluntarily, if you fail to provide us with information that is marked as mandatory we will not be able to process your form. The only mandatory information we ask for is that which is needed to complete the ticket sale, requiring that you provide us at least with your full name and e-mail address.

  1. Payment details

Payment is handled separately, and securely, through Stripe, so those details are never gathered by us and we never have access to them.

  1. How do we process this information, and for what purpose?

At present, we require these personal details for a number of reasons. We need your full name and e-mail address so we may be able to send you tickets electronically, so we can re-issue you tickets and possibly offer refunds if necessary, and we also require this information for our own record keeping, as well. We may also use these details to send you promotional material about other related services or products, unless you opt out of our mailing list. If you wish to be removed from the mailing list, simply send us an email request or check the relevant box during the booking process.

  1. Who will we share this information with?

We do not share the information we collect with any third party apart from The Little Box Office, who host our booking site and hold this information for us. They are also subject to the Data Protection Act and the Privacy Act in the same manner that we are.

  1. How do we protect your information?

We follow the Information Commissioner’s Office’s recommendations for our own data security. Our Payment Processor use their own security measures to keep your personal banking details safe, including safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption. Please see their Privacy Policy for more information.

  1. What rights do you have to access, change or remove your information?

Among others, you have the right to a copy of the information We have collected from you. Additionally, you are entitled to have inaccurate personal data rectified or destroyed. In fact, We welcome any amendments you may suggest, as it is also Our obligation to keep any data We collect as accurate as reasonably possible. You have the right to access and amend or ask Us to remove your personal information at any time and if you wish to do so:

When you provide us with personal information on this site we may use “cookies”. If you decline to accept a cookie sent by us you may not be able to access certain functions of the site such as online booking.

This site may contain links to other sites at which your personal information is collected, on our event pages for example. When following a link to another site, the collection and use of your personal information is controlled by the privacy policy of that site. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy policies of external websites and your use of external websites is at your own risk.
