Funding & Support

As a charity Hoipolloi seeks revenue, project and in kind support from a number of different sources including Trusts/Foundations, individuals and Company donations to ensure its continuing development.

Hoipolloi currently receives core and project funding support from Arts Council England, East.

In 2009, our international touring to Australia, Singapore and the USA has been supported by the British Council.

Story of a Rabbit’s tour to the USA is in association with Welsh Assembly Government, New York Office. For details of upcoming Wales activity at the Smithsonian Folklife festival and around Washington DC, please visit Wales Smithsonian Cymru 2009.

In October 2007, Hoipolloi was one of the winners of the 2007 Meridian Theatre Awards in association with Interact. Interact is the only company of its type to gift aid its profits into the creative arts and the award enabled Hoipolloi to work with a composer and choreographer on its production of The Doubtful Guest.

Previous supporters of the company’s work have included Norfolk County Council, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art, The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Charles Wells Brewery.
