The story of how losing a neighbour’s rabbit helped Hugh unravel the meaning of life.

Hugh’s second theatre show with Hoipolloi, Story of a Rabbit, premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2007 and won a prestigious Fringe First Award from The Scotsman.

Story of a Rabbit is really two stories, one about Hugh losing his neighbour’s rabbit and the other is about Hugh’s father. Together these stories allow Hugh to delve into our reactions to death and how we come to terms with grief. Story of a Rabbit is an uplifting show that shines light on life’s final mystery.

Like Hugh’s other shows, Story of a Rabbit is a highly theatrical example of story-telling in which Hugh welcomes audiences into his own charmingly off-kilter world.
